About us

Settled in the heart of the mythic Rue de Rome in Paris for more than 25 years, the society BAROCO specialised in the string quartet is headed by Pierre BARTHEL, violin maker and expert.
​
The workshop quickly acquired an international reputation reinforced by the arrival of two new partners: Christophe LANDON, violin maker and expert in New York, and Andreas POST, violin maker and expert in Amsterdam.
The Team
Nobody ignores anymore Pierre BARTHEL’s reputation regarding sound adjustments. Many French and international soloists entrusted him with their instruments of very high quality.
The restoration is also an important part at Pierre BARTHEL’s workshop. He is assisted in this task by Sandrine OSMAN and Mathias PIETRI.
